Assistant Survey Manager - Centre for Longitudinal Studies, Department of Quantitative Social Science

Salary will be on the Grade 6 scale, in the range of £25,513 to £30,434 plus £2,323 London Allowance per annum.

The appointment will be full-time and is available is available from 1 October 2014 until 31 March 2020.
Job share will be considered.

In view of the nature of the work involved, any offer of appointment will be conditional on a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Survey Manager to contribute to the development of the valuable cohort resources housed in the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS).

Working within a vibrant survey management team, you will help ensure that the cohort studies are developed and delivered to a high standard, with high rates of participation. You will contribute to the design and development of data collection instruments, assist the team with data checking and work closely with the other teams within CLS as required.

You will have a first degree or equivalent relevant experience in a social science discipline along with a good understanding of the principles of survey design and methodology, ethical issues in survey research and of questionnaire design principles and skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential for the role.
